Help
Everybody that is affected by mental illness has the right to be helped.
There are many places that Australians, especially the youth, where they can get help with their mental health issues. Many schools, such as Normanhurst Boys High School has “Wellbeing Staff”, a group of dedicated teachers that are able to help students if they are struggling with a mental illness. Furthermore, any teacher within the school would be more than happy to help students out regarding their mental health issues.
However, before meeting any teacher, talking to the closest person is generally the best way to start. Parents, siblings or relatives are all great people that a victim of mental health issues can talk with. If talking to those people doesn’t seem like an option, there are many different organisations that are able to help, free of charge.

If a friend seems to be suffering from a mental illness, it is important to give that friend a chance to talk about his/her illness. If the friend does not initiate a conversation, it is imperative that you be proactive, and approach him/her in an honest manner.
One important thing to remember is that the only way to get help is to talk about it. If nobody talks about their mental health issues, it would never be cured; also, that person would have to struggle with that illness for a long time, alone.
